To: Members of the Academic Community
Today, I had the opportunity to listen-in on the preliminary results from a study on campus-community relationships that was distributed to over 700 people in Richland County. This survey conducted on behalf of OSU-Mansfield and North Central State College; only confirms what thousands of Richland County voters have told me throughout the past 8 months of my campaign for State Representative: more effort and focus needs to be on working together to bridge lasting and positive results for our region.
OSU Mansfield Dean, Dr. Stephen Gavazzi and North Central State College President, Dr. Dorey Diab shared the survey results with those in attendance today.
“Effort drives comfort,” Gavazzi said to the audience.
As Candidate for State Representative, I am supportive of the efforts of OSU Mansfield and North Central State College, as well as hundreds of others who participated in this survey process. Your engagement and the resulting data, presents a great opportunity to now connect opportunities to our needs as a region for the academic community.
If effort truly drives comfort, then it makes sense to support those candidates this election-cycle who have demonstrated efforts in support of the people and communities of Richland County. I’m running for State Representative because I will promote solidarity and showcase our regional strengths at the state-level. I have taken the time to listen to the people of district 2 and will take your priorities with me to the statehouse to get things done once I’m elected.
My policy initiative: Attract, Train & Keep; promotes collaboration between the Academic, Business, Civic and Government communities here in Richland County. More importantly, this initiative is results-oriented and seeks to develop steps toward a more engaging and sustainable future for our children, grandchildren and for ourselves.
It’s time we Move Opportunity Forward together and with Bryant for State Representative.
Thank you for all you do for our communities throughout Richland County.
Don Bryant, District 2 State Representative Candidate
MANSFIELD--Don Bryant, State Representative District 2 Candidate, will kick off his Business and Industry tour on Thursday, September 18th.
The purpose of the tour is to get a better understanding of the specific types of products our business community specializes in producing and how we can work together once I’m elected, Bryant stated.
Since April, Bryant has been promoting his policy initiative: Attract, Train & Keep. He says the main idea is to bring innovation back to the table.
“The way to get started is by gaining a clear understanding of what the Richland business community offers and where common ground can be reached for the purpose of moving opportunity forward,” stated Bryant.
“My campaign for State Representative is about Moving Opportunity Forward for the people and communities throughout Richland County. People deserve better leadership than what we have today and I can certainly offer that.”
Once elected, Bryant plans to develop coalition support for Attract, Train & Keep.
“This important initiative focuses on developing a unique collaboration between four of the most powerful communities in our district: Academic, Business, and Civic and Government communities. Utilizing this collaboration, we will attract the opportunities we need to become a leading district among regions similar to ours; and will be able to generate more favorable conditions necessary for long-term growth and sustainability in Richland County.”
